Presenting at NCLA in October

Exciting news just got word that I’ll be co-presenting at the 59th Biennial Conference of the North Carolina Library Association in Hickory, NC. This year the conference is titled: Libraries the Next Generation.

I’ll be doing an hour and half long session on Public Library Design and Technology. Even more news two of my fellow Scholar’s will be doing a poster presentation at the conference as well. Alesha Lackey and Ingrid Ruffin, I’m so excited.

North Carolina Library Association Conference

I’ll be gone the whole day tomorrow because I have to go to the North Carolina Library Association Conference in Greenville. I’m excited it’s my first conference but I don’t really know what to expect. I’m leaving here at 8:15 am and then won’t be back till close to midnight.
We are only going for the one day and it’s the last day of the conference. I’m mostly excited to see the exhibitions, they usually have free advance copies of books, or so I’ve been told. A librarian’s dream. But who knows, now with budget cuts every where they might not have any. I don’t know what kind of presentations or workshops I am going to see because we haven’t really gotten a nailed down program. We should get one when we get there.
